Ever since Bioware revealed Dragon Age II’s new look and feel, fans of the original worried that it would abandon strategic combat in favor of more theatrical action. The following developer diary highlights two ways to play Dragon Age II: point-and-click action, and low level strategy.
If this video is any indication, then the sequel… won’t be all that different from the original, at least on the surface. It’s worth nothing that the color palette has definitely taken a turn for the washed out. Dragon Age II unfolds in a storytelling framework, with different characters recounting each mission in the form of remembered flashbacks, so the color scheme might have narrative significance.
The new Dragon Age hits stores in North America on March 8th, and in the EU three days later.
