RESTREPO: One Platoon, One Valley, One Year
This documentary film is brought to you by National Geographic Entertainment from directors Sebastian Junger and Tim Hetherington. It’s a pretty special glimpse into modern warfare.
It focuses on the deployment of a troop of U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan’s Korengal Valley, which was considered the most deadly deployments in that country’s war. The movie follows a 15-man outpost named “OP Restrepo” named for a platoon medic who was killed in action.
It will be released on Blu-ray on December 7, 2010 for $34.99, but this is your chance to get your paws on it for free and maybe a little early.
