A new trailer that has me extremely interested is The Adjustment Bureau. What I find so intriguing is the slow build and strong emotionality that fills this trailer. The plot is presented quickly, while focusing on the relationship between the characters David Norris (Matt Damon) and Elise Sellas (Emily Blunt). While the story will undoubtedly be about a forbidden love, there is still enough intrigue and chase (action) for me to have questions about the resolve of the story.
What helps to sell this trailer is the use of 1 particular piece of music that the editor cuts the video on beat with. The music is “Breath and Life” by Audiomachine. It is the music that starts out the trailer and goes to about :50. It works extremely well because the music also slowly builds just as the trailer does. Not only that, but it sounds similar to the other major piece of music which is “Kaneda’s Death (Adagio in D)” by John Murphy.
