THR reports that Pierce Brosnan is eying a return to television for a new project. The former James Bond hasn’t been a series regular since Remington Steele, the show that kept him from getting that aforementioned Bond role eight years earlier than he did. The untitled project will focus on an international operative and problem solver for hire. Brosnan is in talks with Sony to both appear in and produce the show. The main character (who is not expected to be played by Brosnan) is
brought in for high-drama situations like kidnappings and business
espionage. Jack Orman, Beau St. Clair, Keri Selig and Brosnan will serve as exec producers. Sounds a little like Human Target.
I never figured Brosnan high on returning to TV, considering how Steele ended for him. He has most recently been in Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, Remember Me and The Ghost Writer. He has Salvation Boulevard and St. Vincent upcoming.
