That same tease has a few quotes from the interview featured in the issue, which includes Chris Evans describing his nervousness over accepting the part.
“At the time, I remember telling a buddy of mine, ‘If the movie bombs, I’m fucked. If the movie hits, I’m fucked!’ …I was just scared, I realized my whole decision making process was fear based, and you never want to make a decision out of fear… I can’t believe I was almost too chicken to play Captain America.”
Despite his trepidation he ended up with a contract that secures him for half-a-dozen Marvel films, and places him front-and-center in the set-up to the massive scale Avengers film.
