How To Train Your Dragon has that sort of Iron Giant effect on people. Watching adults bawl their eyes out over a simple story of a young man befriending a giant creature never gets old. While I can’t say that I was crazy over the film, it did manage to do something that I haven’t seen a DreamWorks Animated flick do yet. They dropped the pop culture bullshit, most of the lazy jokes and actually hired two guys that could maintain creative focus throughout the length of a feature. If it would’ve had a better original score, it could’ve passed for lesser Pixar.
