Ah yes, the time is nigh.
When the waning war of words can reconvene between those who sang the highest praises for Scott Pilgrim vs. The World and with those who rejoiced in its swift demise at the box office.
It was the du jour topic of the summer for those who keep track of these sorts of things (i.e. you and me), so at this point, you already all know about this movie. You already have your opinions about the movie itself, the reactions to it, and the reaction by the general public in the form of ticket sales. Regardless of where you stand, that’s what this whole thing is about: talking about movies. So, I say: the more discussion, the better.
So if this kind of thing is your bag, then you’ll be happy to know that Scott Pilgrim vs. The World hits stores in the forms of a Blu-ray Combo pack and DVD. Both come full of special features: commentaries, deleted scenes, bloopers. As expected, the Blu-ray has hours more extra footage (documentaries, alternate edits, music videos, and featurettes on the visual effects, sound work, and pre-production) and has a DVD included just for kicks — they also throw in a digital download version of the film, for a limited time only.
And finally — what’s becoming more and more common now on Blu-ray releases — you also get a free bonus movie streaming. (Not sure what your options are just yet.)
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World will be available on November 9th, 2010.
