Heat Vision is reporting that Warners Bros is planning to make an “organizational announcement” next week, and then next month (maybe) they will unveil a “spread sheet detailing how the various
superheroes will be reintroduced to consumers.” Aawwww yeeeah, that’s right… they are thinking about making an announcement about making a future pronouncement.
HV quotes WB CEO Barry Meyer as saying that WB “has been looking after DC in a “custodial way,” but it’s now time to get “much more entrepreneurial.”” This spread sheet will apparently contain more than just theatrical feature films. It would seem that the Bros Warner are looking to get their Disney/Marvel on. Excellent news for DC fans who have been justifiably bitching about WB’s curiously staid handling of non-Superman/Batman DC properties since, well, forever.
Okay team, we’ve got a week, possibly even a month or more, until we learn what WB has planned. It’s time for this train to pull into speculation station…
