I guess I’m starting to ease up on my prior 3D annoyance. I caught Piranha 3D this past weekend, and aside from the recycled pair of extra specs that no doubt were previously worn by some fortysomething fat chick with eczema, a 13-year-old who beat off to the boob fest the day before and a bus driver with a deviated septum at Clash of the Titans, it was pretty fun. And since everything else from now till Rapture is coming out in 3D, I might as well make peace with that. One of the projects that could actually benefit from the third dimension is the upcoming Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, which, was just announced over at MTV’s Splash Page, will be shooting in 3D in Romania.
Cage commented on the Eastern European setting: “I’ll be filming it in Romania, which is exciting, since that’s where Dracula’s castle is,” Cage revealed. “The Ghost Rider has to ride up to Dracula’s castle.” Did he say Dracula…? Anyway, there’s been no other casting news to date, but it is known that Eva Mendes won’t be returning as love interest, Roxanne. Crank’s Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor are directing. Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance is slated to start filming in the next couple of months.
Thanks to Brian for the tip.
