While Jonah Hex
bombed hard at the box office, you can still get a quick fix sans
Brolin along with some other DC Comics characters this winter.
Warner Home Video is releasing DC Showcase Original Shorts Collection on November 9th, which will include the 10-12 minute shorts of The Spectre, Jonah Hex, and Green Arrow — all of which were first seen as extra features of the DC Universe Animated Original Movies — along with the never-before-seen premiere of Superman/Shazam! The Return of Black Adam.
As per Warner Bros:
In
Superman/Shazam! The
Return of Black Adam, Clark Kent’s latest interview subject is
street kid Billy Batson. What
Clark doesn’t know is that Billy is more than a
feisty kid with a lot of heart – he has been chosen by an ancient wizard to
represent the good of man as the World’s
Mightiest Mortal just by invoking the name of the wizard, “Shazam!” Billy’s powers come
none-too-soon, as he also discovers he’s being pursued by a centuries’ old,
murderous villain, Black Adam – a
foe so powerful, even Superman
can’t stop him alone.
The
Collection will be available on both single-disc Special Edition DVD
and Blu-ray, the latter of which will have over 2-and-a-half hours of
special features, including commentaries with renowned
writers.
The Blu-ray will set you back $29.99, while the DVD is listed at $19.98.
