Latino Review has gotten their hands on a fight audition Josh Hutcherson did for the reboot of Spider-Man. While Hutcherson didn’t get the job – Andrew Garfield is our new Peter Parker – I think we can get an understanding of some aspects of the movie from this. For one thing it reinforces what I heard from other sources – that many of the film’s fight scenes will involve Parker in plainclothes.
The choreography here, by Larnell Stovall, is very nice, and it includes more than a few Spider-Man pose flourishes that feel natural. I like Garfield for the role, but I like this fighting choreography in general.
