Variety reports that Warner Bros. has picked up the script titled World War X
from writer Colin Trevorrow (I’d link to the story if Variety’s shitty
subscription limiter didn’t kick in. Instead, I’ll give ComingSoon the love). Joel Silver and Andrew Rona are producing. The premise is centered on a man recruited by a team of government agents to stop a
terrorist from the future who is using time travel to reshape history.
No word on casting nor director as of yet (unless it’s in the Variety article that I can’t quite see). Trevorrow is a writer / director whose credits include the short film Home Base and Reality Show. He has several projects in development, including Pet Robots, Stealing Time and Tester.
