It appears as if everyone from the Sandra Bullock / Ryan Reynolds film, The Proposal, had such a good time, that they’re reuniting for a production sequel, if not a straight sequel to the film. The two aforementioned stars, director Anne Fletcher, writer Pete Chiarelli and
producers David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman are coming together again for Most Wanted, says THR.com. The story sees Bullock as a woman on the run with Reynolds as an
agent who is supposed to be handling her. The project is described
as having a tone similar to that of Midnight Run, Universal’s
1988 action comedy starring Robert De Niro and Charles Grodin.
Universal is developing a sequel to Midnight Run. Reynolds will also exec produce the project.
Bullock, of course, had a comeback year of sorts last year with hits of both The Proposal and The Blind Side, for which she picked up the Oscar, and for which she thanked her…loyal…and loving…husband…um, Jesse James…. Meanwhile, Reynolds might want to think about any possible future marital issues himself with the deluge of projects he has upcoming. The future Deadpool and Green Lantern will soon be seen in Buried and has at least half a dozen other projects in the works.
