Rap-battling from your couch while wearing a bathrobe becomes an actual possible thing to do this October.

Terminal Reality (Ghostbusters), Def Jam Interactive, and the untested 4mm games are putting the finishing touches on Rapstar, the first non-Parappa Hip Hop music game.

Publisher Konami’s press release reveals an October 5th release date, as well as the second set of artists featured in the game:

Ice Cube – It Was a Good Day
Drake – Best I Ever Had
Biz Markie – Just a Friend
Outkast – So Fresh & So Clean
Pete Rock & CL Smooth – TROY
Salt N Pepa – Push It
Redman & Method Man – Da Rockwilder

This is in addition to the original list announced back in April:

2 Pac – I Get Around
50 Cent – I Get Money
Dr. Dre featuring Snoop Dog – Nuthin’ but a ‘G’ Thang
Kanye West featuring Jamie Foxx – Gold Digger
Lil’ Wayne – A Milli
Notorious B.I.G. – Juicy
Slick Rick – Children’s Story
T.I. featuring Rihanna – Live Your Life
Wu Tang Clan – C.R.E.A.M.
Young Jeezy featuring Kanye West – Put On

Along with its 40-track song list, the game allows budding emcees to upload complete video recordings of freestyle performances to the Def Jam Rapstar community site. Rapstar comes bundled with a wired microphone, and is priced at $69.99 for the PS3/360 and $59.99 for the Wii.
