    Invictus music trailer

Invictus was supposed to be a paint by the numbers movie. Hell, I’m a huge Eastwood fan and I wasn’t expecting anything from the flick. But, what Eastwood managed to do was create the first essential sports film about rugby. It’s about more than the sport, it’s about a people coming to define themselves in the modern era. Morgan Freeman does his career best as Mandela. Taking subtle cues and building as a quiet lead, Freeman does what other actors fail to do. He respects the story.

“The Messenger” shooting script

The Messenger would have to be the Hal Ashby style answer film for the War on Terror. Trying to address the soldier’s return to the private sector is never easy to accomplish onscreen. Most of the time it becomes heavy-handed, while other times it turns into Travis Bickle gunning down a pimp. Ben Foster and Woody Harrelson play well off each other, as they take different approaches to their casualty notification assignment. Sure, it’s sacred. But, what does it do to these men? Watching the results has made this film one of my favorite cinematic experiences of last year.

Valentine’s Day
is the film that will play on the other television. The man television will be left for playing Red Dead Redemption and watching Lost. In between your stints on The Island and the Old West, the female will tell you stories about celebrities finding love. There will be talk about that delightful Bradley Cooper and how she loves that Black Eyed Peas song. You won’t care, you have the other television. Purchasing this film as a femme bait was a smart decision. You’re just that clever.
