What you see is a picture of Peter Sarsgaard in make-up as Hector Hammond, the villain in the currently-filming Green Lantern movie, and not, as I first thought, a victim of fetal alcohol syndrome. The design of Hammond seems to be really creepy, although maybe this is just some kind of in-between stage, before Hammond’s head turns into the comical balloon we know from Green Lantern comics (which I’ve included below to give you an idea of what Hammond looks like in the books).
Shooting is going on right now in New Orleans, but don’t expect many paparazzi pictures of the Green Lantern costume – apparently it’s being done all CGI.
