Fanboy goddess, Summer Glau, is set to expand her ever-growing genre cred by signing up for a new superhero pilot, The Cape, for NBC. The project centers on a former cop (David Lyons) [who] is
set up as a criminal and becomes a masked hero, The Cape, to clear
his name. Glau will play Orwell, a cute and intrepid investigative blogger
who fearlessly goes after corrupt cops and costumed bad guys. Simon West is directing the pilot.
For Glau, this marks yet another genre production, which includes two stints in the Whedonverse (Firefly, Dollhouse), as well as Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and The 4400. She next has the Lifetime movie, Deadly Honeymoon upcoming.
