This has been a pretty good year for me. Got my certification done, lost one job and got another one just in the nick of time, got to start doing this blog for my favorite website on the internet.
This will likely be my last blog of the year since tomorrow I’m going to be heading with Vanessa upstate to Temple to visit her sister. A friend of mine that we both graduated with (he’s also the one who re-introduced us) moved to San Antonio a few years back. Vanessa being the wonderful girl that she is, is going to drive me to Austin and drop me off, and my friend is going to pick me up there. Even though he’s lived in San Antonio these past few years, he’s never been to Austin. It’s been almost 10 years or so since I’ve been there. We’re going to hang out there, then we’re going back to San Antonio so he can show me around town since it’s been a good 5 years since I’ve been there myself. Then Saturday evening I’ll be back in Austin to get picked up and we’ll be on our way back Sunday morning. At least around morning time.
Then Monday it’s back to work.
Back in August I bought an iTunes gift card worth $15. I used it to buy 2 songs. The remaining balance was left on there for several months until the past 2 days where I’ve been buying song after song. I still have quite a good amount left too. I’m going to buy another gift card since I know there’s going to be other songs I’m going to want to buy. 99 cents along with tax for one song isn’t as expensive as I once thought. Sure there’s some songs that are a $1.29, but that’s still pretty good.
To go along with the iTunes Spree, I’ve finally used a few of the digital copies I’ve gotten with some of the Blu-rays I’ve bought. I can now watch some movies on my iPod, and even though they are severely cropped (it’s like watching 2:35.1 movies on an old vhs tape just clearer) , but it’s pretty cool to have something else on my iPod if I don’t have a book to read while I listen to music.
Rene’s song of the day: “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band/With A Little Help From My Friends” by The Beatles.
Thanks for reading my blog and see you next time!
