Tiny ragdolls search for answers about the Fall of Man. A hobbit, Dewey Cox and Crispin Glover lead an all-star cast in a CG movie that will entertain man-children and families alike. That was a little mean. The film was decent, but with a rather off ending.

GLEE: SEASON 1 VOLUME 1

Music Video

Glee is a show that works. It manages to entertain the fancy of the American Idol drooling masses. Yet, it finds a way to force Ryan Murphy to actually tell solid stories again. The music is overrated and forced down the throats of people too much. But, Jane Lynch is so damn amazing in this show that it demands a viewing. You will believe that she could reach out of the screen and strangle you.

UNITED STATES OF TARA: THE FIRST SEASON
c. Toni Colette and John Corbett

Special Features

  • Commentaries
  • Featurettes
  • Previews of other Showtime shows

United States of Tara: The First Season is the better Diablo Cody product being released this week. Cody is such a handicap of a writer that it provides actors something to really battle. Toni Collette must really have trouble working against Cody’s inferior work since she is offering up the best performance of her career. Did I mention the terrible Diablo Cody? She looks like the President of the Katy Perry Detective Club. I can’t trust any chick that wears that much leopard print.

FACING ALI
d. Pete McCormack
c. George Chuvalo, Henry Cooper, George Foreman and Joe Frazier

Trailer

A boxing documentary about a legend that doesn’t rely too much on lip service. If you’re a fan of the book, this is an abridged version. What works is how director Pete McCormack was able to take something quite simple and build a fascinating look at a man. By taking ten of his defeated competitors, you get a new perspective on the Titan. No one who gets their ass beat wants to wax poetic on the guy who did it. Yet, they find something profound in their memories about the times they faced Ali.

COMING SOON TO YOUR HOME THEATER

  1. Anchor Bay Entertainment’s INALIENABLE with Walter Koenig coming January 26, 2010!

Anchor Bay Entertainment joins
forces with science fiction legend Walter Koenig (“Star Trek”) to present an
unforgettable thriller that explores science, the universe and moral justice. Inalienable, written by Koenig and
premiering on DVD January 26, 2010, includes celestial foil “O-card” packaging
that is truly out of this world! SRP is a heavenly $19.97, with a pre-book date
of December 24, 2009.

In the film, scientist Eric Norris
(Richard Hatch, “Battlestar Galatica”) discovers his body is host to a parasite
from another world. With the shocking revelation that this microscopic intruder
also carries his DNA, Norris confronts the possibility that he might “give
birth” to a new son to replace the one lost in a tragic accident years earlier.
But will this birth represent a new fusion of human and alien – or spell doom
for the entire human race?

Inalienable boasts a “who’s who” cast of sci-fi
favorites: Koenig, Hatch, Erick Avari (“Heroes,” The Mummy, Independence Day), Marina
Sirtis (“Star Trek: The Next Generation”), Richard Herd (“V”), Gary Graham
(“Alien Nation”), and Alan Ruck (“Spin City,” Twister, The Happening).
