Steve Carell and Tina Fey must have enjoyed being married, because they’re in talks to renew their vows in another movie. The stars of the upcoming Date Night are “loosely attached” to reteam in Mail-Order Groom for Warner Bros. Project centers on a naive single woman (Fey) who can’t
find love and ends up with a husband from Eastern Europe, bringing
him home to the States. Glenn Ficarra and John Requa (I Love You Phillip Morris) will do a rewrite of the script by Robert
Carlock (30 Rock)and Scott Silveri (Friends). Original idea is from Fey’s husband, Jeff Richmond.
Project may not come together easily however, as the only time the two stars would be able to shoot would be their hiatuses from The Office and 30 Rock. There is also no director attached. Date Night will be released April 9th. Meanwhile, Carell has several projects upcoming, including Dinner With Schmucks and Get Smart 2, while Fey will be seen in Megamind with Brad Pitt, Will Ferrell and Jonah Hill.
