The Academy Awards have just put out the final list of songs that will be in contention for Best Song come the Oscars telecast. The scariest bit of news included in this list is that there’s a 7.9% chance Miley Cyrus will be belting out a number as Hannah Montana: The Movie scored five slots out of 63. The film with the next highest amount of songs is Disney’s The Princess and the Frog. According to Renn, that may even out the bad karma a bit.
The Academy recently changed their rules to where a film can receive no more than two nominations of out the five total. On Jan. 12th, they’ll screen film clips with the songs in random order that’ll then be voted on. A DVD with all the nominees will also go out. The Oscar noms will go out Feb 2nd.
