Funny People was this weird attempt at trying to cross-blend Gatsby with the sensiblity of a vulgar James L. Brooks. Adam Sandler can handle the dramatic well, but the material doesn’t play against master thespians such as Jonah Hill. It’s hard to focus on mortality in terms that can relate to Generation Y when you’ve got master thespian Jonah Hill showing the audience viral videos to find a way to relate the melodrama. Luckily, the RZA is here to certain the piece. If the film had more RZA…we’d be talking Oscars by now.

Four Christmases is
such a starfucker vehicle for two of the most overexposed celebs working today. It might as well be Vince Vaughn slipping New Line some cash to have fun with a few guys he met in past productions. America gets to watch and awe at how divorce can be blended into a normal mainstream shitcom of a film. Reese Witherspoon doesn’t pop a tit, neither does the little blonde chick from Pushing Daisies.
