Some days I love the internet. Today is one of those days, because without the internet I never would have seen this short film from Uruguay, which depicts a giant robot attack on Montevideo (true fact: my only reference point for Montevideo is that Grant Morrison blew it up in some DC Comics crossover). It’s the kind of thing that gives genre fans hope that we can get spectacle and coolness on a budget and not have to settle for 500 million dollar overblown behemoths.
Of course I’m sure they saved some money by snagging music from 28 Days Later, but struggling young filmmakers gotta do what they gotta do.
