I drive by George Barris’ shop in North Hollywood sometimes, and sometimes I get a glimpse of the Batmobile. Or at least A Batmobile; Barris created the famous car from the 1960s TV series and sometimes still makes copies for deep pocket collectors.
Now he’s revisited that design in true 21st century style, modding a Smart Car into a new era Batmobile. It’s unlikely that Christopher Nolan will be using this in his next film, but I think that would be a brave and bold choice.
