It’s rare when something hits the UK before it hits the US, but it’s happening with the home video release of Duncan Jones’ amazing science fiction debut Moon, which is streeting in the UK on November 16th and not coming to US stores until the very end of December. On top of that there are some questions as to whether or not the US release will be as packed with features as the UK release, details of which are below (if you happen to know that the US Moon release will be the same as the UK, please let me know):
* 1080P 2.40:1 Widescreen
* English, Italian and Spanish 5.1
* English, Hindi, Italian and Spanish subtitles
* BD Exclusive: Concept Art Library
* BD Exclusive: How Did They Do That: Cloning Sam
* Commentary with Writer/Director Duncan Jones, Director of Photography
Gary Shaw, Concept Designer Gavin Rothery and Production Designer Tony
Noble
* Commentary with Writer/Director Duncan Jones and Producer Stuart Fenegen
* “Whistle” a Short Film by Duncan Jones
* The Making of Moon
* Creating the Visual Effects
* Science Center Q&A with Director Duncan Jones
* Filmmaker’s Q&A at the Sundance Film Festival
Now Duncan Jones is reporting to fans that the UK Blu-Ray will be all-region, meaning you can import it to the US and have it work on your local Blu player. If you can’t wait the extra month or if you’re afraid the extras won’t be the same, this is the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.
