Maybe Fallout: New Moscow was already taken.
THQ and Ukrainian developer 4A Games announced Metro 33, a post apocalyptic FPS set in a ravaged cityscape populated with (we’re guessing) mutated roaches and bandits. Here’s the trailer:
That metro sure looks familiar. Based on a novel by Russian author Dmitry Glukhovsky and set in a nuked-out Moscow, Metro 33 follows war survivor Artyorn, who leaves the safety of the subway tunnels to explore the dangerous city above. With Fallout 3 still glowing from last summer’s DLC and Borderlands already charming ex-wastelanders with loot hunts and co-op, it’ll be interesting to see how Metro 33 sets itself apart from the pack. It’s currently slated for a 2010 release, right alongside Rage, Fallout: New Vegas, and Enslaved.
