Microsoft and Activision have just announced a new console based on Modern Warfare 2. It’s basically a rebranded Elite Console that comes with two wireless controllers, a headset, and a standard copy of Modern Warfare 2– as well as a 250 GB hard drive. That’s the biggest one yet, and definitely a pleasure for anyone who’s gotten in the habit of purchasing games through the marketplace or installing retail titles.
The console will sell for $399 in the US and launch alongside the game. This is your only chance to get the massive hard drive, so why not get it alongside the most anticipated game this winter?
“It’s the highest compliment to the team and our fans to have a special themed Xbox 360 console,” said Vince Zampella, CEO of Infinity Ward. “The precision and detail that’s been put into the console captures the intensity and feel of ‘Modern Warfare 2.’ We can’t wait for our community and fans around the world to see for themselves on Nov. 10.”
My skimpy 20 GB drive is looking more and more pathetic. Perhaps it’s finally time to lower the ridiculous prices on your standalone hard drives, Microsoft?
