X-Men Origins: Wolverine  is
a giant mess of a movie. Too many cooks and too many mutants lead to what most fellow comic nerds will call a collection of missed opportunities. Do I need to see Wendigos, Department H and the variety of other Wolvie past cues to enjoy the film? No. I just need decent CG work, a working plot and Ryan Reynolds being given a purpose. Hugh Jackman does admirable work, but he’s go nowhere to go but down in flames. I still expect you to buy it en masse.

My Name is Earl: Season Four was the last year for a sitcom that needed to be put down. The jokes had dried up, as well as the plot. Characters keep having shared origins forced on them, while the tires kept getting retreaded. By the time that Geraldo shows up, you know that the end is near. There’s the jokes about how the executives don’t understand the show and how they don’t get the respect they once used to do. Well, America’s love affair with white trash has run dry. Good night, Camden County. Good night, Timothy Stack. Good night, semi-decent offering from the guy who created Yes, Dear.
