Only a few months after the release of Total War: Empire, Sega today revealed plans for Napoleon: Total War, a continuation of their popular RTS/4X strategy series.
Eurogamer reports that much like its predecessor, Napoleon: Total War will feature a full fledged single player campaign, featuring – obviously – the French Emperor’s famous conquest. Creative Assembly hits that the new game will take Empire‘s mechanics “a step further,” but doesn’t elaborate. In addition to the amazing naval battles, Empire‘s simple, fun, and flexible town management system might have been the best new addition to the series. Hopefully Napoleon can expand on these 4X elements even further.
Expect it to hit Steam (most likely) in February 2010.
