Most big games coming out have ridiculous special editions, and DJ Hero is no exception. The “Renegade” edition (which is named after the Eminem/Jay-Z song) comes with an even more elaborate DJ controller, as well as a case that doubles as a stand. Check it out.

Here’s the full stats-
* DJ Hero game
* Renegade turntable controller featuring premium metal controls and finish
* Hardshell turntable carrying case that converts to performance-ready DJ stand
* Exclusive JAY-Z and EMINEM 2-CD pack featuring unreleased tracks and collectible case designed by artist Shepard Fairey
This is the Renegade controller, which sure looks a lot better than the standard controller.
This package jumps the already incredibly pricey game (normally $119) to a cent under 200 bucks. Will it be enough for fans to want to buy it? Is it wise to possibly alienate customers with two versions of the game, one of which is better and more sturdy?
The game ships late October with over 80 completely original tracks that have been remixed from 100 licensed songs from a variety of genres. To encourage multiplayer it will also allow you to battle someone playing guitar, which is smart because I can’t see many people picking up two of these controllers.
Activision also just released this video of Jay-Z and Eminem’s performance at this year’s E3, check it out-
