While I’m sure that fans of Battlestar Galactica would like it to premiere much sooner, if BSG’s prequel series, Caprica, were to premiere three days sooner than its announced date of January 22, 2010, it would indeed be a Capricorn. As it stands right now though, Caprica is in Aquarius (my sign is Leo by the way).
Variety has it that the pilot, written by Ronald Moore and Remi Aubuchon, helmed by Friday
Night Lights house director Jeffrey Reiner and completed last year —
is two hours. Syfy has ordered an additional 20 hours and it’s unknown
whether they’ll be split into two seasons. The series will be set 58 years before BSG and tell the story of the dawn of the modern Cylons from the human perspective. It stars Easi Morales, Eric Stoltz, Paula Malcomson and Polly Walker. However, BSG fans need not wait till next year to get their fix as the direct-to-DVD film, The Plan, will be out October 27th.
Caprica will air Friday nights at 10 PM.
