You can tell a lot about a person from the miscellaneous collection of
DVD’s stacked next to their television set. Every film we own says a little bit about us, whether
we’d like it to… or not. So I’ve decided to turn this uncompromising
insight on myself by analyzing my entire DVD collection… one impulse
buy at a time.
DAY 12: THE DESCENT
WHAT IT’S ABOUT:
A bunch of hot British girls get lost in a cave
and eaten by skinny blind white dudes. (I mean it’s basically a
low-budget porn idea that takes itself way too seriously. Wait, you mean we’re trapped down here? Whatever are we going to do… oh look! An underground hot spring… and I’m sooo dirty.)
WHY I BOUGHT IT:
Sadly,
no decent (Decent. Descent… get it? Yeah, I went there) girl-on-girl
action in the deleted scenes. Just some crap about how they shot the
whole movie on one set using different colored lights. I was hoping for
some insight into the “birthday cake”… but considering the sequel…
kinda kills any “interpretations”, doesn’t it?
WHAT IT SAYS ABOUT ME:
So
I saw this film with a very hot girl/friend who I was secretly head
over heals for hoping she would be terrified into my arms in search of
protection. Unfortunately, it was the exact opposite and I spent the
majority of the night staring into the bottom of my hat brim with my
ears plugged. (Which incidentally works pretty well… because it’s
usually the sound that scares you. Just FYI).
Hit me back. Until next time…
