Bryan Lee O’Malley’s Scott Pilgrim series has remained seriously undermerchandised. Which is actually pretty cool – Bryan didn’t just sell out like Kevin Smith has and created toys, shirts, posters, thermoses and PVC figurines of every secondary character in his universe. That’s very indie rock of Mr. O’Malley, and I appreciate it.
