I’ve had quite a few days that I’d lend the term “perfect” to. They don’t happen often, but then again, nothing perfect does. Saturday was one of those days.

First Vanessa and I saw Inglourious Basterds. She doesn’t like Brad Pitt, and she didn’t have any interest in the movie. By the time the Bear Jew sequence and the Hugo Stiglitz origin showed up, she was glued to the screen. Then after the film was over, she said something that she doesn’t say often. She said that she had misjudged the film, and that I was right in saying to give it a chance and that it was going to be a good film. This was one of those times where we both really enjoyed the movie. We’ve enjoyed a lot of other movies. (the day before we laughed it up while watching Bruno in the dollar theater), but this one was a movie that she thought she wouldn’t enjoy, and she ended up liking it a lot.

Then afterwards, we spent the evening hitting a couple of shops (Big Lots of course was one of them) and then we had a really nice seafood dinner at a place called The Shrimp House. We had grilled shrimp, stuffed crab, fried clams, and grilled fish. DELICIOUS.

We capped off the evening watching reruns of Seinfeld (My favorite tv show of all time, and one of her favorites) on latenight ABC.

It was indeed a great and perfect day for me.
