Neil Patrick Harris is in talks to host the upcoming 61st Annual Emmy Awards. Harris is a former two-time nominee himself and is currently starring in CBS’ How I Met Your Mother. Harris recently hosted te TVLand Awards in April and made an appearance on the most recent Tony Awards. The Emmy’s are set to air Sept. 20th.

Christian Slater is done being his own worst enemy and is in talks now to star in ABC’s new series, The Forgotten. Forgotten, from WBTV and producer Jerry Bruckheimer, is a mystery
drama revolving around a group of amateur detectives led by a
former cop (Slater) whose 11-year-old daughter was kidnapped three
years before. Slater would be replacing Brit Rupert Perry-Jones, who starred in the pilot. Show is slated to premiere Sept. 22nd.

Piper Perabo is slated to take the lead role in USA’s upcoming pilot, Covert Affairs. Written by Matt Corman and Chris Ord, “Affairs” centers on Annie
Walker (Perabo), a CIA trainee who speaks six languages and excels
at any endeavor she undertakes. Walker joins the CIA while still reeling over a mysterious
ex-boyfriend who appears to be of particular interest to her new
bosses. She vows never to let herself be hurt again, but that
proves to be a tall order. Perabo recently guest starred on Law & Order: Criminal Intent and will next be seen opposite Chris Pine in Paramount
Vantage’s Carriers.

Model / actress Sarah Bradford has been cast in Ken Kushner’s horror
film “When The Devil Comes,” which is currently shooting in New
York City as well as in upstate New York and Long Island. The film’s cast also includes Dechen Thurman, Patrick McMullan and
Liam McMullan.
Rocky Carroll (Roc) will be pulling double duty as NCIS Director Leon Vance on both NCIS and it’s new spinoff, NCIS: Los Angeles. Carroll will be a regular on the mothership show and a recurring on the spinoff, which stars LL Cool J and Chris O’Donnell. Carroll started in the role this past season after his predecessor, Director Jenny Shepard (Lauren Holley), was killed in a firefight. The shows will air back-to-back on CBS Tuesdays this fall.
Paula Abdul (American Idol) is slated to make a cameo in CBS’ upcoming drama, Drop Dead Diva. The freshman show centers on a blonde model who dies in a car crash and whose soul returns to Earth in another body.
Abdul will be portraying a court judge. Abdul’s take: “I am very excited to guest star on Drop Dead Diva. All of
the people are extremely talented and it’s a charming, wonderfully
written new show.”
Other guest stars scheduled to appear include Liza Minnelli and Rosie O’Donnell.
