With David R. Ellis, the director of the amazing Final Destination 2, back in the saddle, the fourth film in the franchise – called only The Final Destination – promises to kick ass. And now the trailer reveals how much ass it will kick. While it can only hint at the carnage – this is a green band – there are enough glimpses to show that the magic that made the second film a gory classic is back.
And in 3D, no less.
I would like to see a hundred Final Destination movies. It’s the perfect franchise since you don’t need to bring anyone back in the sequels, you don’t need to keep to continuity and you don’t even need to come up with a new story. Just new kills. As long as they can keep the Rube Goldberg-esque kills fresh, I’m on board.
