I’ve been searching for a new job, and to no avail thus far. Today I got a call that one of the jobs I applied for (the only one I had an interview for, and was really wanting it too) had been filled. I only got this call, because I had e-mailed the human resources department because I hadn’t heard shit from them.
There in lies my main problem. Why are jobs afraid to call you back? They say “We’ll call you.” and they don’t. It doesn’t even have to be a call either. I’d settle for an e-mail. It’s not that impersonal, and for those dweebs that are scared of being yelled at, it would work great. I probably wouldn’t have known anything at all if I hadn’t e-mailed this job. Another job I applied for last year actually took the time to send me an e-mail that I didn’t get it. That’s professionalism.
It really burns me up that some so called “higher professions” still act like smaller menial jobs in that they don’t bother calling back or e-mailing you at the least. They really should have more sense than that.
