I’m surprised that we don’t see more movies about the henchmen that help out our favorite bad guys. (Surprised enough that I’m writing one right now!) But there is a graphic novel that follows a football player forced to look for new work after an injury ends his career. It’s called Hench, and Warner Brothers has just picked it up to be developed for Danny McBride. Which just sounds beautiful, really.
Variety reports that McBride will co-write with Eastbound and Down scripter Shawn Harwell. Those two working on a story about a guy who becomes a working-class bad guy? It’s like the story was made for them. It could almost be a parallel season of Eastbound and Down.
