Frosty over at Collider recently sat down for a chat with Sam Mendes, and wasted no time at all to start questioning him about his adaptation of the Garth Ennis’ seminal comic Preacher. He didn’t have a whole lot to reveal but he talked a bit about the writing process, and that John August (Big Fish, Go, Corpse Bride) is working on the script right now.
Mendes has two more plays that he’s working on in Brooklyn, and it won’t be until next year that he’ll be able to start on a film. Hopefully it will still be Preacher– he stresses that he’s taking the option very seriously- it’s just that he’s got a lot to get done.
