There’s an air of alarmism in the trailer for Food, Inc. which makes me want to shy away from the film. But the concept — looking at how corporate-produced food has changed our health and eating habits, and what can be done to alter our current course — is a great one. This doc has evidently been made with a real eye for commerical appeal; are those supermarket shots from a Radiohead video? And there are some great people involved (Michael Pollan, etc) but I’m worried about the film being too high-strung and/or heavy handed.
Check out the trailer in HD at Apple. I’ll probably see the film this Sunday at the IFFB, so look for a review next week.
