That’s a pretty great poster for Park Chan-Wook’s vampire film Thirst. But people in Korea won’t be able to see it, as it’s been banned. Apparently it’s taboo to show a priest in ‘a sexual context,’ according to Variety.
The movie opens in Korea on April 30th, and they’ll have to come up with a new poster, but this art – which is great. I love the subtle eerieness of the elongated arms – will be used outside of Korea. We may even see it being used here in the US when it opens, although I don’t know when that is.
