Ever since I was a youngster, I’ve always liked to eat. I wouldn’t say I was a glutton, but I liked to eat. Pizza, spaghetti, hamburgers, of course as well as healthy vegetables. I’ve always liked the vegetables that are usually hated by children: Broccoli, Spinach. Yeah, very rarely do I meet a food that I don’t like.
In recent years though, I’ve found myself eating more and more than just a regular 2 or 3 meals a day. Mostly I don’t eat breakfast, even though I always hear that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but I do very well without it. Every now and then I treat myself to breakfast, but like I said, I do just fine through the day without it.
I started packing on the pounds back in 2000 when during the summer I gained at least 10 pounds from eating McDonalds on a daily basis, and not exercising. Although I was pretty skinny, this just bulked me up some. It wasn’t until after I graduated that I started to get bulgy. In the fall of 2006 I started myself on a health cycle that culminated in me losing 40 pounds. By the end of the following year though I started to gain it back, as I had gotten lazy and wasn’t working out on a daily basis as I once was.
Now I’ve been trying to lose the weight again, but it’s been a damn bitch to lose it. I’m going to have the entire summer off (perks of being an educator) so I’m going to dedicate myself to once again, attempting to lose at least 20 pounds by August. Shit, I’ll settle for 10 at this point. I know I can achieve it with just a little determination.
