Futurama: Into the Wild Green Yonder is a satisfying finale to the Planet Express crew. Sure, there’s talk that the gang might be coming back. But, I don’t really feel the need to sit through another four years of FOX trying to make up their minds about the little Sci-Fi comedy that could.
The special features don’t seem as packed, as they were on the three previous television movies. What sets this adventure apart is the fact that it feels like a proper ending. There’s really no more stories to tell, since everything will either be bigger than television or a retread of a past episode. It’s the much deserved final adventure for a television show that dared to outshine The Simpsons.
Special Features:
- Commentaries
- Deleted Scenes
- Featurettes
- AMC Shootout Segment
- Screen Tests
- Photo Gallery
Breaking Bad: The Complete First Season is a show that leads me to believe that AMC is some bi-polar beast lumbering through the basic cable forest. How in the fuck does such a do-nothing channel get two amazing shows back to back? First, Mad Men challenges expectations by taking a key piece of the Sopranos braintrust to create a non-violent look at the ad world of the Kennedy era 1960s.
Then, they make a compelling show about a High School Chemistry that makes meth. The random tangents that the creative forces at AMC find themselves at are amazing. This release sports the seven episodes that made up the first season. Onto that, there is a look at the upcoming March start for Season 2.

Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son about his Father was a film that I kept going out of my way to see and I didn’t get a chance to view it until it hit MSNBC. Talking about the documentary itself doesn’t offer up anything new. What the documentary offers as a whole is a painful insider look at murder. The emotional impact it takes, the weight of consequence and the emotions burdened on a group of people who’re looking for a proper outlet. It’s draining, but well-worth watching.
