I love soundtracks. Especially soundtrack scores. There’s nothing I like better than to listen to a nice (sometimes) soothing instrumental track on the way to and from work, or if I’m going into town. It really puts me in a peaceful and positive mood.
Sometimes if I’m not listening to a soothing track, I’m listening to something fast pace, which puts me in a hyped mood. Pretty much anything by Alan Silvestri, Ennio Morricone, Danny Elfman, or Hans Zimmer does this to me.
Even horror scores some times end up a mixture of peace and action, and sometimes can even be creepy. For that I go to Pino Donaggio, Giorgio Moroder, Riz Ortolani, Fabio Frizzi, Franceso De Masi, and Jerry Goldsmith.
Soundtracks are my thing. It’s gotten to the point where I can just hear a tiny cue and I’ll know who composed it. As soon as I see a movie, and I hear a good score in it. I’ll most definitely go out and pick up the c.d.
