Gametrailers just posted this exclusive short for OneChanbara: Bikini Zombie Slayers. In case the name doesn’t make it obvious, it’s a Japanese game about skantily clad girls that love to kill zombies. In other words, it’s a beautiful concept.
OneChanbara is a series that has been around for quite a while in Japan, and even has a movie adaptation that came out last year, but of course it’s relatively unknown on these shores.
At E3 last year (while tagging along with Russ like a lost puppy) we headed over to D3 Publishers’ room to see what were up to. After checking out the ridiculously awesome Bangai-O Spirits and the next puzzle game that’ll suck your life away (Puzzle Quest: Galactrix) we were ushered into a little “adults-only” room in the back where they were screening OneChanbara. They had a couple of mannequins dressed up as the characters from the game and handed us posters and little mini handwipes (Uh). It was a little awkward, to say the least, but the game looked entertaining enough.
We didn’t get a chance to try the game out for ourselves but were shown the Wii version and all its motion controls, although there is a 360 version as well. Both are hitting stores on February 10th at a bargain price (30 and 40 bucks, respectively).
