Since Strange Days, Bigelow has done been doing some time on TV with Homicide: Life on the Street and Karen Sisco, as well as the films The Weight of Water and an Uma Thurman flick titled Mission Zero that I’m not even sure the cast and crew saw.
The tagline is that, “An elite Army EOD unit is forced to play a dangerous game of cat and mouse in the
chaos of war in a city where everyone is a potential enemy and every
object could be a deadly bomb.” The film stars Jeremy Renner (28 Weeks Later), Anthony Mackie (We Are Marshall) and Brian Geraghty (An American Crime), with appearances by Guy Pearce, Ralph Fiennes, David Morse and Evangeline Lilly. It was written and produced by journalist / screenwriter Mark Boal (In the Valley of Elah), based on his own accounts when he was embedded with a bomb squad in Iraq.
The trailer is below and hopefully looks to be a return to form for Bigelow, who is way too talented to essentially be on the sidelines for six years.
