“American Underdog” is based on the inspiring actual tale of Kurt Warner (Zachary Levi), who rose from stockboy to two-time NFL MVP, Super Bowl champion, and Hall of Fame quarterback in a matter of a few years. The film tells the story of Warner’s struggle to become an NFL player and how his wife, Brenda (Anna Paquin), and his family, coaches, and teammates helped him persevere. In American Underdog, religion, family, and drive are combined to show that anything is possible.
