It’s never a good thing to start out a day with a hangover. Especially if it’s a Thursday.

I don’t tend to get hangovers. I’m a big guy, I drink a lot, and handle my alcohol well. But Wednesday nights are dangerous for me. That’s the night where my favorite bar in the world holds Rock Band nights. It’s bad enough that they have competitions for silly prizes (some people won Corona Light hats! Ooooh!), they also have ridiculous drink deals. Cheap beers and rocking just goes along together so well.

I’m still very much in love with that game. Playing it at a bar is a great way to do it, as it makes people a little looser, newcomers to the game a little more likely to try it out. No one’s ever just played it and walked away- people get hooked on it. Rock Band‘s actually made the usually slow Wednesday nights a big hit for the bar, as people will inevitable play and drink until they look at the clock, realize they have to be up for work in 3 hours, and run screaming out the door. The game just sucks time away from you.

It’s also a big hit with the ladies. Girls love singing and playing along to to it, and since I’m recently engaged and am forced to live vicariously through my friends, it’s always good to get some more around them. They need all the help they can get.

Anyway, after a good 6 hours of rockin’ out yesterday (and winning a Bacardi Limon duffel bag… going to have to rip that logo off…) I got home and started up the second season of Arrested Development.

How the hell come no one tied me to a chair and forced me to watch that show? It’s friggin’ great.
