There’s a strong team behind Steve Jobs: Fassbender, Winslet, Rogen, Danny Boyle, Aaron Sorkin… that combination of names alone should be enough to make any of us interested. What has me most interested is the film’s unconventional structure — there are only three long sequences in the film, each one taking place at an important Apple keynote, ending with announcement of the first iMac.

Biopics are often heavily formulaic, and I like that Sorkin is playing with the formula. I have my problems with Sorkin, but the structure of The Social Network is pretty damn impeccable, so when this flick comes out on October 9, you can bet I’ll be watching.
