Right from David Ayer’s twitter account, this is the first real indication of what the look and tone of DC’s Suicide Squad might be like… and it’s a bit wacky. That’s okay, though. I have no idea what the Suicide Squad comics are like, so I didn’t really know what to expect to begin with. I think that’s Killer Croc second from the right, and that’s a cool make-up. Harley Quinn’s look is simpler and cleaner than I thought it would be, and I like that. She’ll be a difficult character to handle, assuming they haven’t messed with her origin story. They’re gonna have to sell us on the whole psychiatrist-turned-roller-derby-model thing.
None of the characters are identified by name in Ayer’s tweet, so I don’t even know who everyone is here. I see a Courtney, a Kinnaman, and a Smith, but who the hell us everyone else?
